Genevieve (Genny) Margaret Danielson, age 98 of Spring Grove passed away on, July 15, 2017, at Tweeten Healthcare in Spring Grove. She was born on Dec 20, 1918 in Caledonia, Mn to Helmer and Anna (Haugstad) Stigen. She was a lifelong Spring Grove resident. She was a 1936 Spring Grove High School graduate. On October 26, 1941, she married John (Jack) Danielson. Jack preceded her in death on June 20, 1987. Genny was active both in church groups, and as a volunteer in the community. Everyone was welcome at her house, Genny worked at the Bake Shoppe in Spring Grove until it closed, she retired after it closed. Survivors include her daughter Katherine (David) Peterson of Spring Grove. Her grandsons Eric Reque of Atlanta, Ga, and Cris Reque of Spring Grove. Her great-grandchildren Kaylin (Jair) Jurggens of Atlanta, Ga and Jarrod Reque of Atlanta, Ga., and step-grand children Anita (Zachary) Fryar of De Quincey, La, Zelda (Tim) Todd of Crestview, Fla, Milissa (Kenny) Barnett of Niceville, Fla, Angela (Billy) Williams of Billings, Mo, Donna Peterson of Bolivar, Mo, also 14 step-great granchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by her sisters Odella Clauson, Hazel Otterness, Alice Myhre, and Lillian Lyndahl, and her brothers Ove Stigen and Norman Stigen, also preceding her in death are step-grandchildren Cpt. David Peterson Jr., and Ann Louise Peterson, and several nieces and nephews.
