Caledonia, MN Deloris E. Jacobs died Sunday April 17, 2022 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, WI. She was born September 27, 1927 to James and Stella (Sanness) Ellingson. Deloris attended Royal Country School for 8 years and a 1945 graduate of Spring Grove High School. From there she attended Luther College where she received her teaching degree. She taught 6th grade at West Bend, Iowa and Sanborn, Iowa. July 1,1948 Deloris married Wayne W. Jacobs from Sanborn, Iowa. They were married at Trinity Lutheran Church at Spring Grove by Pastor M. Michelson. They lived in Sanborn, Iowa until April 1954 when they moved to Stoughton, WI for railroad work. Deloris was a stay-at-home mother to Jerry Wayne and Rodney Duane. When they were in grade school, she sold Avon for 10 years. Then she worked about 8 years as a teller at First National Bank in Stoughton. She was also a bookkeeper for Heublin factory and the financial secretary at Christ Lutheran. In March 1988 they moved to La Crosse, WI to be near her parents and then to Caledonia, MN in June 1990. Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne and her son, Rodney. She is survived by her son, Jerry Jacobs, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to say a special thank you to Vicky Dehning, Sonja Agarwal, Rachel Udstuen, Kristine Busche, Pastor Elizabeth, and the wonderful staff at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sat. at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, MN Pastor Elizabeth Hermeier will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 4 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove, and from 10:30 A.M. to time of service at the church.
